‘Return to Wholeness’ speaks to an aspect of the female experience, where we (consciously or unconsciously) hide parts of who we are based on the expectations and dangers of modern society. It also speaks to the fact that so often we’re not taught what to do with or how to hold our true selves, but then the time comes when we open to our wholeness.

Written by Aliesha Bannister, this piece is printed on 200gsm mixed media textured paper, and mounted in a brushed gold-style frame. The frame can be wall hung or sit on a flat surface.
 
Poem reads:
 
i no longer need to leave
or cleave
parts of Self
to nurture and protect them
i’ve reached the point 
where i’m a container 
solid enough to hold my whole Self
she who exists today is now the anchor,
amplifier,
and caretaker
of a vitality which has been held in storage 
since the early years. 
this moment of unconscious yet wise autonomy, 
can now be reversed.
may the fabric of our world 
glimmer 
in anticipation        
of the ripple effects 
this reunion shall 
impart through our field,
and may i relish in its gloriousness.
