WORKSHOPS & EVENTS

Feminist art is a VIBE.  I love to be involved in various events, workshops, ventures and gatherings that help us connect and remember the ways we want life to be. The sense of soul joy and human cup-filling when we meet like this is unmatched, and, it serves a purpose to help process, bring awareness to, or generate ideas on how to support women and gender diverse people at this time.

On this page you can find what's coming up, what's been, and sign up to receive details about anything new that evolves that you may like to be part of.

'Paste The Patriarchy' Collage Workshop

Community, collage, creation... doesn't get much better than that!

'PASTE THE PATRIARCHY'
COLLAGE WORKSHOPS

Hosted alongside Scottish-born artist and activist, Angela Walsh, the feminist-oriented collage workshops are an absolute hub of creativity.

We start with an exercise to help pull the words and vision that's in your heart (sometimes theme based i.e. what you're raging about currently for the state of the world for women and gender-diverse folks), and then, release you to your creative collaging design.

Tips for your message, your creative vision, and how to collage are part of the experience we offer.

These workshops are held at Gallery Unbound in Northcote, VIC.

I stand with these communities:

Inclusive image of the Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, LGBTQIA+, Trans, Non-Binary and Palestinian flags.

I, Aliesha Bannister, acknowledge that I live and work on the lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation — sacred Country that continues to offer healing, vision, grounding, and inspiration. I honour the Wurundjeri people as the Traditional Custodians of this land, and pay deep respect to their Elders — past and present — as well as all knowledge holders.

For over 65,000 years, Aboriginal peoples have cared for these lands, waterways, and skies through deep, reciprocal relationship. This connection was never ceded. I stand with First Nations peoples in their ongoing fight for justice, recognition, and sovereignty. I am guided and inspired by the wisdom, culture, and spirit that continues to flow through Country, and I long for a future where this knowledge is not only respected, but re-centered in the collective life of this place.

Always was, always will be — Aboriginal land.
